At this point in his career Dolph Ziggler is a WWE veteran, and he’s also a two time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Dolph has experienced a lot of ups and downs throughout his career, and even though he’s captured quite a few championships people who have worked for WWE have claimed Vince McMahon has no interest in pushing Ziggler.
On a recent episode of his podcast WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson talked about the 2015 Extreme Rules pay-per-view and Dolph Ziggler’s Kiss Me Arse match against Sheamus.
At one point Arn noted that Dolph Ziggler was very opinionated backstage, which may be why Vince McMahon got tired of dealing with him.
“I’m sure a lot of guys, the higher-ups in the office, and certainly the boss [Vince McMahon], got tired of dealing with Dolph, but the fact of the matter is, Dolph is right a lot of the time.”
Anderson went on to say that Dolph Ziggler using the superkick was a “heated issue” a few years ago, and that his outspoken nature isn’t what the company wants.
“He doesn’t mind saying what he thinks, and even though he’s right most of the time, that’s the wrong thing to do once you walk up in Gorilla [WWE’s backstage area]. The reality is, the company wants blind devotion.”
