Sami Zayn shocked the world last night at Hell in a Cell when he appeared and saved Kevin when he pulled him out of danger so that McMahon jumped off the top of the Hell in a Cell structure and through the announce table, which ended up costing him the match.
Zayn and Owens came to WWE as the best of friends until Owens turned on the NXT Champion so that he could then go on to take the title away from him, since then the duo have seemingly been bitter enemies as part of both Raw and SmackDown Live, so it came as quite a shock when Zayn appeared in Michigan last night.
The last time the WWE Universe saw Zayn, he had been beaten by Owens to send a message to Shane McMahon, before the SmackDown Commissioner made the save, which just added more of a shock to the events as they unfolded.
CagesideSeats reports that the possible reason why Zayn came out to help his former friend was so that the build-up to a match at Survivor Series can begin. Following his appearance on Talking Smack, it seems that AJ Styles could be the man who steps up and helps Shane in tag team match in Houston next month.
AJ’s comments following the match can be seen below:
If @shanemcmahon needs help fighting off @SamiZayn and @FightOwensFight, he might have an ally in @AJStylesOrg… #TalkingSmack #HIAC pic.twitter.com/1WgdhUMV8a

Shane played a part in last year’s Survivor Series match, and if he is recovered from that incredible jump off Hell in a Cell in time to begin the build-up to this year’s event, then there’s no reason why one of WWE’s biggest risk takers shouldn’t be part of the show.
