This week all eyes were on Raw and SmackDown Live as fans waited to see which stars would be switching brands in the Superstar Shake-Up. Some interesting moves were made, and a few NXT stars also joined the main roster.
Drew McIntyre got called up on Monday and joined Raw, and on Tuesday night WWE aired a video package confirming that SAnitY members Eric Young, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe will be joining SmackDown Live.
It appears that Nikki Cross won’t be joining the rest of the group on SmackDown Live, and Dave Meltzer speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE may be keeping her in NXT due to the lack of opponents for Shayna Baszler (via RingsideNews).
“I’m surprised no Nikki Cross. I think maybe they’re going to do something with Nikki Cross and Shayna Baszler because Shayna is with the exception of Kairi Sane, Shayna Baszler is really weak on opponents in NXT but I think she would have been good for that act on the main roster.”
He went on to note that SAnitY could go either way in regards to whether or not they’ll be a heel team, or a face team.
