For years Jon Moxley performed as Dean Ambrose in WWE, but he decided to sign with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and he’s found nothing but success since then.
With Vince McMahon retiring and Triple H taking over creative in WWE many have wondered if we could see some former stars return to the company someday. Jon Moxley is a name that’s come up, but during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer indicated that fans shouldn’t hold out for a WWE return.
I saw Moxley’s name, people going like ‘Oh now with Vince [McMahon] gone Moxley will whatever.’ All I will say is, don’t bet on that one. I mean you never say never but that is one…”
Meltzer went on to elaborate on why Jon Moxley might not be interested in returning to WWE when he pointed out that the former WWE Champion has told him he has no interest in reading scripts.
“He should play the game but he’s told me, on more than one occasion, that he will never read a script unless it’s in a movie or a television show. But if it’s pro wrestling, he’ll never read a script again. He will never recite from a script again.”
It was also noted that Moxley still has a lot of time on his AEW contract, so it doesn’t look like WWE will be able to make him an offer anytime soon if there is interest. Do you want to see Jon Moxley return to WWE someday? Sound off in the comments below.
