Now that the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view has come and gone, the stars of Monday Night Raw are trying to put together their path to WrestleMania 34. John Cena didn’t have much luck Sunday night at Elimination Chamber, but since he’s a free agent, Cena is heading to SmackDown Live tonight to figure out what’s next.
It’s been rumored that John Cena could be wrestling The Undertaker at WrestleMania this year, but Cena appeared on Raw this week and claimed he’s been told that match won’t be happening.
Only time will tell whether or not Cena will end up facing off against Taker at Mania, but in the meantime he’s going to need something to keep him busy.
According to CageSideSeats, it’s rumored that WWE officials are considering having John Cena challenge Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura for his title shot at Fastlane.
AJ Styles is set to defend his WWE Championship against Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens in a Fatal 5 Way match at the pay-per-view, so if Cena does challenge Shinsuke for his title shot, it would certainly keep fans guessing.
One way or another, John Cena is in need of an opponent for WrestleMania, and it seems that we may very well see him confront Shinsuke Nakamura tonight.
