A few weeks ago acting General Manager Baron Corbin booked Heath Slater in a match against Rhyno and he told them that the loser would be fired. Unfortunately for Rhyno, he lost the match and his job in the process.
Fans have been wondering what’s next for Rhyno, and he recently confirmed in a video posted on WWE’s YouTube channel that he’s not retiring, and he will be fulfilling his contractual obligations with the company.
“I am fulfilling my contractual obligation with WWE with my December and January live events. I’m going to continue, and after that I don’t know”
Rhyno went on to say that he’s not sure if he will continue to wrestle for WWE, or if he will end up wrestling elsewhere.
Wrestling Inc is reporting that Rhyno is set to be part of the SmackDown Live brand.
Rhyno found success as a member of SmackDown Live when he and Heath Slater became the first SmackDown Tag Team Champions in 2016.
However, it doesn’t look like they’ll be making another run for the belts if Rhyno does indeed go to SmackDown, because Heath Slater is currently working as a referee on Raw.
