It’s been a while since fans have seen Big E in the ring as the former WWE Champion was sidelined after suffering a broken neck during a match on SmackDown in March of 2022. It’s unclear at this point in time if Big E will ever be able to return to the ring, but it appears that potential ideas for his return may have been discussed.
The WRKD Wrestling account is reporting that there are potential plans for the teased Xavier Woods heel turn to culminate with Big E reuniting The New Day if he is able to get cleared.
Last month Big E addressed the likelihood of a potential return at some point and said that he was set to get scans on his neck once again in another three to six months.
“More than anything, I’m just taking every day as it comes. I know that sounds like a cliche. But I get scans again in another three-to-six months, and if they look great and the doctors say it’s healthy for me to go back, then that’s something where we’ll sit down and talk about it. But I try not to spend too much time worrying about things I can’t control.
It’s nice to know that if I get the opportunity to get back in the ring, and I can do it healthily, then let’s do that. Let’s attack it fully. But if not, I know exactly what I want to do, and I’m excited about that path, too.”
