WrestleMania 35 took over the New York/New Jersey area on Sunday night and over 80,000 fans were in attendance for the event a MetLife Stadium.

WrestleMania has become a huge attraction that can generate millions of dollars in revenue for its host city, and WWE recently announced that WrestleMania 36 will take place in Tampa, FL.

With the location for WrestleMania 36 set, cities around the country are looking ahead to 2021, and the Los Angeles Times is reporting that the football stadium under construction in Inglewood, CA is the front-runner to host WrestleMania 37.

The stadium is expected to open in 2020, and will be the home of the Rams and the Chargers.

Officials from the city and the stadium are reportedly hoping to use WrestleMania 36 as a test run for Super Bowl LVI, which is set to take place in 2022.

“We know the power of the WWE brand,” said Kathy Schloessman, president of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission. “They have hosted several events here in the past such as Summer Slam, Survivor Series, Raw and SmackDown and we have seen the tremendous impact these events have in the community, both economically and socially. Given our focus on attracting major sporting and entertainment events to Los Angeles, WrestleMania is at the top of our list of events we want here.”
