The Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s most exciting annual events, and it looks like the company already has a location in mind for next year’s show.
Fightful Select reports that the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas is currently the frontrunner for the 2023 Royal Rumble. However, nothing is official until the event and location are announced, and it was noted that the location for last year’s SummerSlam event was still being discussed until shortly before it was announced.
WWE previously held the Royal Rumble at the Alamodome in 1997 and 2017, and it was the first dome to host the Royal Rumble. Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast also recently noted that WWE is planning to run more dome shows each year moving forward.
Other cities that have expressed interest in hosting the Royal Rumble include New Orleans and Seattle. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
