Drew McIntyre picked up a win over Madcap Moss at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view a few weeks ago, but later in the show McIntyre was written off TV when Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin attacked him backstage.
The former WWE Champion hasn’t been seen since, but PWInsider is reporting that Drew McIntyre was recently featured in an advertisement for the Friday Night SmackDown tapings in Brooklyn on 3/25. It was also noted that there’s been no word on McIntyre’s neck since he was spotted in Pittsburgh for testing a few weeks ago.
If Drew McIntyre does indeed return at the 3/25 SmackDown taping then he will be back in time for WrestleMania 38 which is set to take place on 4/2 and 4/3.
Drew McIntyre has been involved in some big matches at the Show of Shows in recent years as he defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36, and he also challenged Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37 last year. If McIntyre does indeed make it back in time for Mania it will be interesting to see how he fits into the show. Stay tuned for updates.
