For many years Hulk Hogan was the face of professional wrestling, but ever since leaked audio of Hulk Hogan using racial slurs surfaced online a few years ago, Hogan has become one of the most controversial figures in the industry.
WWE quickly cut all ties with Hulk Hogan, but it’s been rumored that the company wants to bring him back. Now it seems that WWE and Hulk Hogan are taking a few steps forward in regards to his possible return.
TMZ is reporting that Hulk Hogan has been in touch with WWE officials recently and their talks have been positive.
When WWE made plans for their event in Saudi Arabia, the royal family specifically asked for Hulk Hogan. In the end, Hogan obviously wasn’t part of the Greatest Royal Rumble, but a dialogue was opened up between Hogan and WWE.
It’s being reported that WWE wants to bring Hogan back “the right way” and that Hogan is on board.
The plan is to be sensitive to anyone who was offended by his comments, while also attempting to show that he’s a changed man.
WWE officials paid close attention to Hulk Hogan’s Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame induction speech where he talked about wanting to help kids and encourage them not to use the words that he used.
