Kurt Angle has been featured prominently on WWE programming ever since he returned to the company at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony earlier this year. A few days later he became the new General Manager of Monday Night Raw, and he’s been excelling in the role ever since.
Angle has been featured in one of Monday Night Raw’s biggest storylines over the past few months, and recently on Raw he revealed that he has an illegitimate son. Kurt told the world that Jason Jordan is his son, and now it looks like Jordan is in line for a decent push.
Jason Jordan will be appearing on Miz TV next Monday, and it was recently reported that the segment will be used to set up a SummerSlam match between Jordan and Miz for the IC Title.
Sportskeeda is now reporting that the current plan is for Kurt Angle to give Jason Jordan a title shot at SummerSlam, where Jordan will defeat The Miz to win the belt. The loss will lead to Miz complaining about nepotism in WWE, and he will then lobby for Kurt Angle to be fired.
Kurt Angle has not been cleared to wrestle in WWE, so at this time it doesn’t appear that the feud will lead to a match. The idea is for the feud to play out similar to the feud The Miz had with Daniel Bryan on SmackDown Live, where Miz continually taunts the General Manager without the feud getting physical.
