Fans have wondered for years if WWE would ever pull the trigger on a Queen of the Ring tournament, and it looks like it’s going to happen. Wrestling Inc. recently reported that WWE is planning on holding Queen of the Ring this year, but that dates for the tournament were unknown.
Now Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast is reporting that current plans call for the tournament to kick off on the October 8th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, and continue on the October 11th episode of Monday Night Raw.
WWE has previously held a King of the Ring tournament with the last one taking place in 2019. The tournament was won by Baron Corbin.
The last time WWE held an all women’s event was the Evolution pay-per-view in 2018. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
