WrestleMania 37 kicked off in a big way on Saturday night as Bobby Lashley defended his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in the opening match of Night 1.
Both men put up a fight, but when it was all said and done Bobby Lashley retained his WWE Championship when he defeated Drew McIntyre with The Hurt Lock.
Lashley picked up a decisive victory on the Grandest Stage of Them All, but it looks like his rivalry with Drew is far from over at this point.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that current plans call for WWE Champion Bobby Lashley to continue his feud with Drew McIntyre.
While a rematch obviously has not been announced just yet, it’s worth noting that WWE renamed the Backlash pay-per-view WrestleMania Backlash for this year’s show, so it’s probably safe to say we’ll be seeing some WrestleMania rematches at the event.
