Enzo Amore and Big Cass have made plenty of fans since their jump to the main roster on the Raw after WrestleMania last year. They took over NXT in a big way before that and fans couldn’t wait to see them on WWE’s flagship show. Enzo and Big Cass might have burned every foe along the way with their superior microphone skills, but they’ve never picked up a set of tag team titles yet.
The Realest Guys In The Room failed to win the NXT Tag Team Titles and have yet to capture any tag team gold on the main roster. However, Enzo and Big Cass have a great opportunity to change all that at Wrestlemania 33.
But whether or not they win the Raw Tag Team Titles in Orlando, their split is still looming ever closer. In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is stated that the plan is to break up the popular tag team eventually. In fact, they might be breaking up sooner than later.
Reports are that the long-term plan is for Big Cass to become a singles star which would leave Enzo in a comedic role. It might be hard to believe WWE is planning on breaking up such a popular tag team and relegate Enzo to a “Santino Marella role”, but that certainly seems to be the plan so far.
They were dropping hints a couple of weeks ago that a split might be happening soon. Big Cass was giving Enzo some looks of annoyance while Amore carried on in his typical fashion. But those hints haven’t seen the light of day since they hit the stretch toward WrestleMania.
If they get a title win at WrestleMania, then it might only be a feather in their caps and their reign probably won’t last long. Because the plan is still to break up Enzo and Big Cass, and you can’t teach that.
