For the past few weeks it seems that WWE has had trouble selling tickets to SmackDown Live, and even last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw had quite a few empty seats. The trend continued this week for SmackDown Live, as fans in attendance shared some photos showing that a significant portion of the arena was empty this week.
It was estimated that only about 3,500 fans were in attendance for this week’s show.
This week’s episode of SmackDown Live didn’t really feature any big matches or segments, and there weren’t really any segments advertised ahead of time that would have motivated fans to buy tickets.
Still, the low attendance is unfortunate considering that fans know SmackDown Live has the potential to be a great wrestling show. This time last year many fans felt that the SmackDown Live roster was putting on a better show than Raw, but despite the talented roster, it doesn’t seem that SmackDown is giving the fans what they want at the moment, otherwise they’d be buying tickets.
