We’re currently on the road to WrestleMania 41 and business has picked up in a big way over the last few weeks. Jey Uso won the Royal Rumble and announced this week on Raw that he will be challenging Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Now everyone is waiting to see who will win the Elimination Chamber and face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Anything can happen over the next few months, but it’s been rumored for some time now that WWE is looking to set up Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena for WrestleMania this year. It was also recently reported that Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk is another match being considered for the WrestleMania card.
WrestleVotes noted during a recent episode of Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Q&A that there are people in WWE who would prefer to see CM Punk added to John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes to make it a triple threat as opposed to Punk facing off in a triple threat against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. However, it’s not clear if that idea has been discussed in an official capacity.
One way or another it will be interesting to see how things play out at Elimination Chamber as CM Punk, John Cena, Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre have all qualified for the men’s Elimination Chamber match.
Stay tuned for updates.
