Over the last few weeks AEW has been pulling out all the stops to try and get people talking with appearances from Sting, Shaq, and of course Kenny Omega’s big AEW World Title win.
This week it was announced that Snoop Dogg will be appearing on the January 6th episode of AEW Dynamite, and it seems that WWE officials are not happy about his appearance.
Snoop has a history with WWE, and he was inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2016.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that there are people in WWE who are “very upset” about Snoop Dogg’s appearance on Dynamite.
Dave Meltzer also noted that Snoop Dogg does not have a deal with WWE, and he’s part of the Turner family. Snoop Dogg is also one of the hosts of the Go Big Show, which Cody Rhodes also appears on, so that’s how Snoop ended up tying into AEW.
