This week on Monday Night Raw, Carlito went to speak to Adam Pearce backstage and he crossed paths with IYO Sky and Kairi Sane who were leaving Pearce’s office as Carlito entered. After they left Carlito said, “I gotta learn Chinese.” IYO Sky and Kairi Sane are both Japanese.
Fightful Select reports that one staff member claimed the line was not scripted, and that people they had spoken to were in disbelief that the line was said during the segment. The line was later edited out of all digital clips.
It’s being said that internally there were a number of people who were unhappy when it happened. As of right now there hasn’t been any word on anyone having heat or any action being taken over the situation.
