For months now WWE has been bringing former stars back into the fold not just on screen but behind the scenes as well. Brian Kendrick parted ways with WWE earlier this year and it was reported by Fightful Select that Kendrick worked backstage at Survivor Series on Saturday and helped produce the SmackDown Women’s Title match.
F4Wonline.com reports that it’s not clear if Brian Kendrick was hired back or if this was simply a tryout for him. It was noted that Kendrick’s return was a surprise to most including people who know him at NXT.
Following his WWE release earlier this year it was announced that Brian Kendrick would be competing on AEW Dynamite, but the match was pulled from the show after old conspiracy theory videos resurfaced which showed Kendrick making controversial comments.
