CM Punk hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since the All Out pay-per-view back in September, but he’s been a very hot topic in the wrestling world ever since thanks to his physical altercation with The Elite that took place after the show.
At this point in time there are a lot of questions regarding Punk’s future in wrestling whether he will or will not be part of the AEW roster moving forward.
Recently Dax Harwood unveiled his FTR with Dax Harwood podcast, and the first episode was focused on CM Punk. During the podcast Dax Harwood openly pleaded for CM Punk and The Elite to put their differences aside in an effort to find a way to make it work.
Dave Meltzer recently addressed Dax Harwood’s comments on Wrestling Observer Radio while noting that there are people in All Elite Wrestling who weren’t happy about what Dax had to say.
“From what I heard from different people, not the people who you probably heard from, they were not particularly happy at all about this. All I heard the other day was how unhappy people were about that podcast.”
CM Punk’s status with AEW remains unknown at this point in time as Tony Khan has neither confirmed nor denied reports that the company is in talks to buy out Punk’s contract. However, it was recently reported that several top names in the company don’t want CM Punk back and you can get more on that here.
