Charlotte Flair has been making a lot of headlines over the last few days after she got into a heated backstage confrontation with Becky Lynch following the championship exchange segment on SmackDown.
PWInsider reports that following the heated confrontation Charlotte Flair was escorted out of the building by WWE officials, and that some close to her saw that as a “sign of disrespect” due to her family’s history with the company, and her importance to the SmackDown brand. One talent who did not see the fight, but was in the building noted that they thought WWE did the right thing by defusing the situation.
Charlotte was not backstage at AEW Dynamite in Orlando over the weekend, but it’s being reported that people in her private circle were pushing the idea of her trying to get out of her WWE deal, but no one realistically expects that will happen.
There are a said to be a number of people in WWE keeping their eyes on Flair as they wait to see how she handles herself heading into the SmackDown tapings next week. Stay tuned for updates.
