Peacock Edits Out Controversial WWE Network Content

The WWE Network has been standing on its own for years now, but it was announced earlier this year that the WWE Network would be moving to NBC’s Peacock streaming service.

Now it seems that Peacock is removing controversial content from the streaming service as PWInsider is reporting that a backstage segment from Survivor Series in 2005 where Vince McMahon uses the N-word while talking to John Cena has been removed.

Bad News Brown vs. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper at WrestleMania VI has also been removed. Roddy Piper started doing interviews sporting a blackface leading up to the match, and Piper also painted half his body black for the event.

The aforementioned content was previously available on the WWE Network, but it looks like it will no longer be available moving forward on Peacock.

There’s currently no word on other segments that may be removed or edited. Stay tuned for updates.
