According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline, Paul Heyman’s current WWE contract has expired and the two sides aren’t close on an agreement yet. This is the reason there was no mention of Heyman when Brock Lesnar was drafted to the Raw brand.
I can’t imagine a world where Heyman isn’t cutting must hear promos on WWE programming so lets hope things get figured out.
In other news, Brock Lesnar was rumored to have been in the running to be the number 1 draft choice, so that WWE could capitalize on his UFC victory over Mark Hunt but obviously that plan was changed. Dean Ambrose was still going number 1 to Smackdown however, so that WWE could show that the Heavyweight Championship is a valuable asset to draft.
