Paul Heyman’s Original Plans For AJ Styles On Raw Revealed

Last year AJ Styles was drafted to Monday Night Raw, but a few weeks ago WWE announced that The Phenomenal One had officially been traded to SmackDown.

AJ’s run on Monday Night Raw wasn’t exactly noteworthy, and it’s been reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Paul Heyman had a certain way he wanted to use Styles.

According to the report, Heyman’s plan was to use talents like AJ Styles, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins to give up and coming talents the rub and get them over.

Heyman wanted to push new talents such as Humberto Carrillo, Cedric Alexander, Aleister Black and Ricochet, but plans fell apart.

The aforementioned names weren’t able to pick up planned wins, and plans started to fall apart due to WrestleMania.

Randy Orton worked with Edge at Mania, and Styles worked with Taker, so any chance of up and coming talents beating them went out the window until after WrestleMania.
