AJ Styes impressed everyone at Survivor Series but then again, that’s no new thing for him. The Phenomenal One recently took on Brock Lesnar in a match that will not only go down as a shining moment from the 31st annual Survivor Series but also as a benchmark for AJ’s career.
Although he was unsuccessful in defeating The Beast Incarnate, Styles proved he deserves to be in the ring with Brock Lesnar. This is why when asked about AJ’s showing at Survivor Series, Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman had nothing but amazing things to say about Styles.
“I’m shocked, because I’ve been an AJ Styles fan since before I was supposed to be an AJ Styles fan. I watched AJ Styles before anyone was supposed to watch AJ Styles. He is more phenomenal than he gives himself credit for. If you’re not an AJ Styles fan you shouldn’t even be watching WWE.”
“He’s everything that Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart, and Ric Flair were to their generation and he’s updated it. He’s evolved their styles to truly be the single most phenomenal in-ring performer I have ever had the honor and the pleasure of watching up close.”
“I’ve been doing this my entire life. No one in the ring has ever compared to what I witnessed tonight when I had the best seat in the house and I got to witness AJ Styles up close. To you sir, I have nothing but respect and utmost admiration. Which is why when they put this match together when AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to become to WWE Champion I dropped to my knees and I thanked God that Brock Lesnar gets to step into the ring with AJ Styles.”
“Because it’s one thing to eat through an entire division, it’s another thing to step into the ring with AJ Styles and show the world that you can conquer those hopes, those dreams, that intensity, that underdog. Yes — Rocky lost at the end of the movie but he won the respect of the woman that he loved and AJ Styles continues to earn your respect every night he performs. Tonight, he didn’t just perform, he fought. And he took that fight to The Beast like very few ever have. Which is why I stand before you tonight a humble advocate because I am truly with the champion of champions, the ultimate title holder, the reigning defending undisputed number one champion then, now, and forever Brock Lesnar.”
