Paul Heyman Reportedly Pulled A Title Match From WWE SummerSlam

The WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view is set to air live on the WWE Network on Sunday, and several titles will be on the line at the event.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles were set to be defended at SummerSlam, but Paul Heyman made the decision to pull the match from the pay-per-view and put it on Raw.

The IIconics defended the belts against Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville, The Kabuki Warriors and Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross in a fatal four way elimination match on Raw this week, and it was Bliss & Cross who walked out with the titles.

There’s speculation that the decision was made so that the title change would mean more after a long match rather than just having the titles be a forgotten part of SummerSlam.
