Over the last few weeks some of WWE’s top stars have been absent, but their absence has created opportunities for some names who normally don’t get the spotlight as much.
One WWE Superstar who fans have been seeing a lot more of on WWE programming as of late is none other than former Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa.
It was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Paul Heyman is a fan of Akira Tozawa, which is why Tozawa has been appearing on Raw so much lately.
This week on Raw Tozawa competed in the Last Chance Gauntlet match, but unfortunately for him he didn’t manage to pick up the victory.
The match featured the return of AJ Styles who returned to TV for his first appearance since WrestleMania 36, and defeated Humberto Carillo to win the match when he made Carillo tap out to the calf crusher.
