During CM Punk’s historic WWE Championship reign, he enlisted the help of Paul Heyman who became his manager. Punk and Heyman are close, but they no longer work together in WWE, because CM Punk is no longer a WWE Superstar.
Punk is currently chasing his dream of being a MMA fighter, and although his first fight in UFC didn’t go so well, it’s expected that Punk will be fighting again at some point this year.
Even though Punk is busy training to fight in the octagon, there are plenty of people who would love to see him return to WWE. However, during a recent interview with Digital Spy, Paul Heyman noted that he doesn’t believe CM Punk even thinks about WWE at all anymore.
“I don’t think Phil Brooks thinks about WWE at all anymore. I would hope that he doesn’t. I would hope that he is of the focused mindset in propelling himself into the ranks of UFC. I don’t think it’s a matter of positioning or money or spotlight anymore. I think it’s a matter of his dream is to become a successful UFC fighter and he doesn’t even have a thought regarding WWE, at least I would hope that he doesn’t. Because I don’t know how it would be considered productive for him to do so.”
