WrestleMania season is upon us, and Roman Reigns is in a good spot heading into the Show of Shows this year. He’s the current Universal Champion, and he’s set to defend his title against Edge on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Ever since Roman Reigns debuted in WWE there’s been talk of him possibly facing The Rock at WrestleMania, and during a recent interview with Give Me Sport Paul Heyman claimed that The Great One has contacted him about a potential match.
“If I could show you one day’s worth of text messages, emails and calls that come into my phone from some of the biggest superstars in sports and entertainment on this planet, it would blow your mind.
Crossover celebrities in their prime would love to step into a WrestleMania ring with Roman Reigns. It’s not just Dwayne Johnson. The Rock is just one of many. Top stars in many sports are yearning for the publicity, the notoriety, fame, legacy and money of main eventing WrestleMania with Roman Reigns.”
With all of the talk about Rock possibly clashing with Roman Reigns there certainly seems to be interest in the match within the wrestling community, but whether or not it will ever happen remains to be seen.
