Paige has been through a lot on her road back to WWE. She joined up with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville upon her return and as the leader of Absolution and seemed to be on the top of her game. Then she took a bad bump at a WWE house show and now everything seems to be iffy for the Anti Diva.
The first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble is on the horizon but Paige hasn’t wrestled since her injury. With so many women coming in for the Royal Rumble match, it would be a shame if Paige had to miss this historic event because of an injury. But that is sadly what looks like might happen.
PW Insider reports Paige won’t be cleared in time for the January 28th show in Philly. This is really unfortunate news especially seeing how strongly Absolution has been booked since their debut.
It will be very interesting to see how WWE books this story surrounding Paige’s absence from the Women’s Royal Rumble match. They haven’t addressed the reason why Paige hasn’t been in the ring so far, but if she is forced to miss such a big show then there might be some explaining to do.
Let’s hope Paige is cleared in time to compete because she’s worked really hard to get to this point. But she did just come back from a neck injury and in today’s day and age when it comes to how WWE treats head injuries, you never know when your favorite pro wrestler’s career might be shortened in the blink of an eye.
If she’s not in the match, it would be nice to see Paige involved in some way. Or perhaps WWE will simply book a backstage beat-down segment to explain why she’s missing? But it would still be great to see her participate on January 28th.
