Paige has been a very hot topic over the last few weeks, as she was pulled from in-ring competition after she suffered an injury at a recent WWE live event.
The timing of her injury couldn’t be any worse, as the first ever women’s Royal Rumble is set to take place on Sunday, January 28. But unfortunately WWE confirmed on Monday that the former Divas Champion will not be competing in the historic match. The following was posted on WWE.com:
“As reported during tonight’s Monday Night Raw broadcast, Paige will not compete in this year’s historic 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match due to a neck injury.”
It was recently reported that WWE officials have decided not to clear Paige following the injury, and that her in-ring career with WWE is over.
WWE has yet to make any sort of official announcement regarding her in-ring status, but the fact that she’s been pulled from the Royal Rumble isn’t a good sign.
Paige won’t be competing in the first women’s Royal Rumble, but so far names confirmed for the match include Naomi, Asuka, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Natalya, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Lana, Carmella, Tamina, Mickie James, Becky Lynch, Dana Brooke and more TBA.
