Even though Paige is currently retired from in-ring competition she left quite the legacy behind when she hung up her boots.
Paige became the first ever NXT Women’s Champion when she defeated Tenille Dashwood in the finals of a tournament back in 2013, and she recently reflected on the historic win.
The former champion continued to reminisce about the title win, and she thanked Triple H when she posted the following:
“Got to reminiscing and I just wanna give a big thank you to @TripleH for giving Emma and I the time for a long match and trusting us with the opportunity with such a big match & showcasing what the women can do! The boss believed in us! #WWENXT”
Tenille Dashwood chimed in and noted that she will never forget the match, as it was a special time for her.
Triple H commented on the match and told Paige that every bit of her historic moment was earned.
