The night after WrestleMania 34, Paige officially retired from in-ring competition, and then she stepped into the General Manager role the next night on SmackDown Live.
Paige may no longer be an active wrestler, but she still works in the wrestling business, and she recently noted on Busted Open Radio that she’s the happiest she’s ever been.
“I’m so happy. I’m so happy. I am the happiest I’ve ever been,” Paige said via Wrestling Inc. “Do you know what? It’s just relaxing. My body doesn’t hurt as much anymore. And I get to work in the same job with the men and the women now, which feels great. I get to be around people I love. I get to run my own store. It’s amazing. I love it.”
