This is not a good thing at all especially when a Superstar is just coming back from an injury. But it appears Paige’s run with Absolution might already be at risk because the Anti-Diva appears to be injured.
It went down at the Uniondale, NY Raw house show on Wednesday night during a six-woman tag match featuring Absolution vs Mickie James, Bayley, and Sasha Banks. During the match, Paige took a bump wrong and was injured. She didn’t get up for the longest time and it was very scary.
The match was called off and medical personnel ran to the ring. Paige was able to get up and walk off on her own, but this is never a good thing when a match needs to be called off.
Let’s hope for the best here because Paige was just getting back into the swing of things as the leader of Absolution. There is no word yet as of this writing about how bad this injury might be. But fans in attendance have commented about how scary of a situation it was.
As you can see from the video, it wasn’t a very good time and it was certainly not part of the show. It’s rare that we see a stretcher pulled out to the ring for any reason that isn’t a gimmick, but it got all too real in New York.
We’re very glad she was able to get up and walk herself to the back, but now we have to wait and hope that she didn’t do any real damage to herself in the process.
Our prayers are with her and we really hope this is just a scary situation that won’t amount to being much. After all, she’s just getting started with Absolution and has plenty more to do before her time should be up in the pro wrestling business.
