When Daniel Bryan was cleared for in-ring competition earlier this year he left behind his role as SmackDown Live General Manager.
Luckily Paige was more than ready to step up to the plate, and she’s been the SmackDown Live GM since April. However, Paige is no longer the blue brand’s GM now that the McMahons have taken control of Raw and SmackDown.
Shane McMahon held a backstage meeting on SmackDown this week where he referred to Paige as the former SmackDown GM, and he said that Paige is not going anywhere, but she will be taking on a new role.
The Superstars then chanted “thank you Paige.”
It’s not clear at this point what Paige’s new role will be.
What do you think WWE should do with Paige now that she’s no longer the General Manager of SmackDown? Sound off in the comments below.
