It’s been a terrible year for WWE star Paige, starting with the picture and video hacking scandal, before she lost her engagement ring in a hotel room, has been forced to postpone her wedding to Alberto Del Rio three times because of the couple’s constant arguments and now it seems that she could be facing charges of battery.
Last week it was reported that there was an altercation between Del Rio and Paige at an Orlando airport and the WWE Universe knew that they weren’t being given the full story and now it seems that it could be about to be revealed, since the tables have turned and it is now Paige who is being investigated and could be charged with battery.
WWE has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to domestic abuse and regardless of Paige’s upcoming movie release, the company will be forced to release her from her current contract.
“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended. Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated.”
The likes of Jerry Lawler, Adam Rose and even Kevin Nash in recent years have seen that the company will punish talents first and ask questions later when it comes to any domestic charges against their superstars.
The charges have yet to be filed, so this could all blow over for Paige, but if the State Attorney decided that the blame lies with her, then WWE will finally have a concrete reason to terminate her contract.
