Two years ago Daniel Bryan was forced to retire from in-ring competition, and it seemed that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion would never wrestle again. But that all changed today when WWE officially announced that Bryan has been cleared to return to the ring.
Paige knows a thing or two about being forced to retire early, as she was pulled from in-ring competition after she suffered an injury during a match at a live event a few months ago.
It was later reported that WWE would not be clearing Paige to return to the ring, and she hasn’t wrestled a match since.
Despite the fact that all signs point to the Raw Superstar being retired from in-ring competition at the moment, neither WWE nor Paige herself have released an official statement declaring that she’s no longer allowed to wrestle.
Daniel Bryan’s story certainly had a happy ending, and Paige recently took to Twitter to say that the announcement about Bryan’s return gives hope to a lot of people.
Paige and Daniel Bryan’s situations are different due to the injuries involved, but Bryan’s return is proof that you can never say never when it comes to wrestling. Perhaps there could be a light at the end of the tunnel for Paige someday, but only time will tell.
