WWE has released a number of surprising Superstars so far in 2021, and fans were shocked when it was announced earlier this year that Malakai Black had been let go.
Black had just returned to TV after a lengthy absence, and he seemingly kicked off a feud with Big E, but fans didn’t get to see the feud progress.
Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT reported on WrestleTalk’s Wrestling Daily that original plans called for Malakai Black to face off against Big E at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view back in August.
Black has since joined AEW following his release from WWE, and he’s since gone on to be featured as one of the top stars the company. Big E has also found success in recent months as he cashed in Money in the Bank to become WWE Champion, but there’s no denying that a the idea of a Malakai Black vs. Big E feud was interesting to say the least.
