Triple H spends most of his time working behind the scenes in WWE nowadays, but he recently returned to the ring for a singles match against the Undertaker, then a tag team match which saw DX defeat the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel.
Even though DX managed to pick up the victory, Triple H tore a pectoral muscle in the process, and he underwent surgery earlier this week.
Triple H is now out of action, and his injury has put a big WrestleMania match in jeopardy.
Batista returned at SmackDown 1000, and he teased a potential match with Triple H.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Triple H vs. Batista was indeed scheduled to be one of the top matches at WrestleMania 35 next year.
However, with an estimated recovery time of six months, it seems unlikely that Triple H will be back in action by then.
It was noted that John Cena returned in half the time when he tore his pec, but Cena’s recovery times are faster than normal, whereas Triple H’s recovery times have been normal.
