WWE announced earlier this week that the “March to WrestleMania” special on March 12 has been renamed to “WWE Roadblock.” Triple H will be defending his WWE Championship against Dean Ambrose on the show, but according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that wasn’t the original plan.
Original plans called for Triple H to defend his WWE Championship against Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar in a triple threat match. Triple H would have retained the title by pinning Dean Ambrose. On a related note it’s also being said that there are currently no plans in place for Dean Ambrose to turn heel.
As far as plans for Brock Lesnar go, it’s being reported that he will face Bray Wyatt at “WWE Roadblock.” Lesnar was originally advertised for a match against Luke Harper on the show.
It was also announced on Wednesday’s episode of NXT that Dash and Dawson will defend their NXT Tag Team Titles against Enzo and Big Cass at Roadblock.
