We’re on the Road to WrestleMania, and there are only a few more weeks to go before the stars of WWE do battle on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
The stars of Monday Night Raw are set to compete at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Sunday, February 25, and the SmackDown Live exclusive event Fastlane will be the last PPV event before WrestleMania 34.
It’s already been confirmed that AJ Styles will be defending the WWE Championship against Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens in a Fatal 5 Way match in the main event, and it looks like fans can expect to see a few more title matches on the card as well.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that original plans for the Fatal 5 Way called for AJ Styles to defend against Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
But WWE officials are holding off on AJ vs. Shinsuke until WrestleMania, and it looks like Bobby Roode will be defending the US Title against Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal in a triple threat, which is why Orton was pulled from the WWE Title match.
The Usos vs. The Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles is expected to be added to the card, and it’s likely that some sort of program will be set up for the SmackDown Women’s Title next week during the six woman tag match with Charlotte, Becky and Naomi vs. The Riott Squad.
