This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw took place from the Huntington Center in Toledo, OH and it was the go-home show for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Fightful Select reports that original plans for WWE Raw this week called for Carmella to face Bianca Belair in a match that would have taken place early in the show, but the match was changed to Belair vs. Queen Zelina. Carmella did end up competing on the show as she teamed with Nikki A.S.H. and Tamina to face the team of Rhea Ripley, Dana Brooke and Liv Morgan.
The report did not give a reason for the change, but it’s being said that it happened on such short notice that it wasn’t reflected near the start of Raw on Monday night.
At one point Seth Rollins was set to appear on commentary during a match, and WWE had plans to run a Rumble By The Numbers video. However, Rollins didn’t end up joining the commentary team, and the Royal Rumble video aired on social media instead. Stay tuneed for more updates as they become available.
