This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw focused on the fallout from Payback and Jey Uso kicked off the show. Sami Zayn confronted Jey Uso and told Jey that he didn’t have to worry about Kevin Owens because Owens wasn’t at Raw.
PWInsider is reporting that even though it was stated on Monday Night Raw this week that Kevin Owens wasn’t at the show he was backstage. It’s being said that he was scheduled to face JD McDonagh up until late in the day. However, it seems that WWE changed plans.
Sami Zayn ended up facing off against JD McDonagh in a singles match which saw McDonagh pick up the win after Dominik Mysterio provided a distraction.
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn have been at the top of the tag team division ever since they defeated The Usos to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39. Owens & Zayn dropped the belts to Damian Priest & Finn Balor at Payback over the weekend, so it will be interesting to see where they go from here.
