Original Plans For The WWE Women’s Money In The Bank Winner

The WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view recently aired on the WWE Network, and it featured two of the most unique Money in the Bank matches ever, which happened to take place simultaneously.

In the end it was Otis who won the men’s briefcase, and Asuka who won the women’s briefcase.

The next night it was announced on Raw that Asuka didn’t win the MITB contract, she won the Raw Women’s Championship, as Becky Lynch vacated the belt due to her pregnancy.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that original plans called for Becky Lynch to wrestle Nia Jax in a singles match at the pay-per-view, and Lynch was supposed to retain the title.

Shayna Baszler was originally set to win the women’s Money in the Bank briefcase, and plans called for her to be Becky Lynch’s main rival following the show.
