Original Plans For The Main Event At WWE Money In The Bank

The Money in the Bank pay-per-view aired on the WWE Network on Sunday night, and the event featured some big moments.

Alexa Bliss won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match then she cashed in on Nia Jax later that night to become Raw Women’s Champion, and Braun Strowman won the men’s Money in the Bank briefcase in the main event.

But the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match wasn’t originally supposed to close the show.

PWInsider (via CageSideSeats) is reporting that original plans called for Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax, with the Alexa Bliss cash in, to be the main event, but plans were changed sometime over the weekend.

According to Fightful, some of the women backstage were disappointed that Rousey vs. Jax didn’t close the show, but both women reportedly got a lot of praise when they came through the curtain.
