Original Plans For Tag Team Match At WWE WrestleMania 37

Back in April, WrestleMania 37 took place from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL and it was a special weekend for the wrestling world as it was the first WWE event to have fans in attendance in over a year.

WrestleMania was a two night event this year, and during Night 1 several teams faced off in a Tag Team Turmoil match to determine who would challenge Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles during Night 2.

In the end it was Natalya & Tamina who picked up the victory and went on to challenge for the belts, but it looks like WWE originally had different plans.

It was reported on Wrestling Observer Live that originally Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan were set to win the Tag Team Turmoil match. Plans changed the day of the show and WWE went with Natalya & Tamina, who lost their title match the next night. It’s also being reported that plans called for Jax & Baszler to retain the belts either way.
