Sunday night at WrestleMania, Seth Rollins challenged Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, and Rollins managed to slay The Beast and take the belt home.
Rollins vs. Lesnar was one of the most hyped up matches on the card this year, which is why it was somewhat surprising to see the match go on first.
PWInsider is reporting that original plans for Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar called for the match to go on right before the main event.
Around 5:30 PM the decision was made to change the order of the matches and put the Universal Title match on right at the beginning of the show after A Moment Of Bliss. The change may have been made to accommodate Brock Lesnar so he could fly home, just as Paul Heyman said on the mic before the match.
The change was made so late that some people were unaware Paul Heyman would be going to the ring and were shocked when it happened.
Originally AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton was set to be the opening match.
The rest of the matches reportedly took place in their original order.
