Right now Ricochet is one of the most talked about performers in all of wrestling as it was recently reported that he won’t be signing a new deal with WWE when his current contract expires. It’s also been reported that Ricochet was written off TV on Monday Night Raw this week, and unless something changes he’ll be leaving WWE with the expectation that he’s joining AEW.
Ricochet worked with a number of different talents throughout his WWE run and MVP recently revealed on social media that he tried to recruit both Ricochet and Cedric Alexander for The Hurt Business. However, MVP was told that the group could only have Ricochet, or Cedric Alexander, so they went with Alexander instead.
“True story. When we were forming The Hurt Business, I asked for BOTH Ricochet AND Cedric Alexander. We were told we could only have 1. We chose Cedric because we felt he needed our association more than Ricochet did.
I always thought Ricky O would be a big star on his own.”
MVP also confirmed that Naomi and Bianca Belair were pitched for The Hurt Business, but they didn’t end up joining the group because WWE had other plans for them.
Stay tuned for more updates on Ricochet’s status as they become available.
