This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from Greenville, SC and the show featured two Money in the Bank qualifying matches. During one of the matches Kairi Sane returned to the ring to face off against Rhea Ripley and Zoey Stark.

Unfortunately for Zoey Stark she suffered a leg injury during the match and had to be carried out before the match concluded. Ultimately Rhea Ripley picked up the win when she pinned Kairi Sane.

Dave Meltzer discussed the Money in the Bank qualifying match on Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that Rhea Ripley pinning Kairi Sane was not the original plan for the match. However, due to Zoey Stark’s injury and audible had to be called.

“So Kairi Sane (was pinned in) her first match back, which obviously wasn’t the plan. They had no choice, they had to do what they had to do.”

So far Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez and Rhea Ripley have all qualified for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. More qualifying matches are expected to take place in the weeks to come.
